
Hey there! My name is Chris Melgares.
My goal is to provide endurance athletes with the intentional guidance to equip them with the skills needed to engage in their activity in the way most meaningful to them.

It is no secret that you could pull out your phone right now and have an AI-generated training plan at your fingertips within seconds. Chances are if you are reading this, you are looking for something more.
Human movement is an art and a science. Effective training requires communication between the coach and the client to adopt a holistic view of the characteristics that make the individual’s circumstances unique. Only after this is done can an effective plan be created.
An endeavor worth pursuing takes time and consistency. My offerings were created with this goal in mind. I offer coaching plans for those interested in working with me over a longer period of time. All of my plans include regular collaboration to ensure I will be there with you to navigate the peaks and valleys of your journey to get you to the finish line you are striving for.
Although the path to success is rarely linear, I believe there should be joy found in the process of striving for a goal, and I want to help you experience it.

My blend of experience comes from a background as a runner and as a clinician in an outpatient physical therapy setting. I’ve logged countless miles on the roads, trails, and track during my collegiate and post collegiate running career which was highlighted with two Big XII All-Conference Honors and Olympic Trials qualifier in the Marathon distance. As a physical therapist providing performance coaching services, I offer the unique perspective of guidance focused on balancing the goals of performance with the important principles of staying healthy and strong. Regardless of your ability level, you can expect solid and individualized coaching delivered with an emphasis on knowing you and meeting you where you are at.
